Hello.
For the past couple months I've had a WFT-W4a on my Canon 1Dm4 being able to live send small jpg via a mifi to an ipad using ShutterSnitch (SS). Worked really well in the field and was able to send live jpgs to my photodesk faster than anyone else. However, the mifi had a battery problem -- and after picking up a iPhone 4Gs, was hoping I could possibly forgo the mifi and IPad and just use the iphone version of SS.
However when I create a personal hotspot, i have no network showing in SS (SS - latest version, just downloaded the other day on iphone) although the camera does see the iphone hotspot. If I am on my office or home network, it will create an FTP on those networks but on a hotspot - it's not issuing an IP from what I can see. Any other device can connect to the hotspot and work fine - just nothing from the iOS5 iphone. I tried to manually enter a few IP addresses that were in the same string as what was issued by the iphone's hotspot but no luck either. As I want to mininimize gear in the field, I am hoping i don't require a third party wifi network (a mifi) to go between the iphone and WFT.
For the record, I can wifi the ipad to the network and SS will see the camera and transmit as long as the IPhone is the conduit between... but i just can't seem to get the phone to issue the IP if just the camera and iphone.
Any ideas?
