Shuttersnitch and Goodsync

Postby cbatcheller » Mon May 14, 2012 5:15 am

I'm using a canon WFT on a 7D to upload images to my mac. I've got another app that need to use them, so I tried to use GoodSync to automatically transmit the images in the common folder on the mac to shutter snitch. Goodsync seems to work, but the JPG's are not shown in the collection. I can see the transfers coming across on Shuttersnitch at the top with the listening info, but I don't see them in the collection. Any ideas?

Try this:

Enter the collection where you say GoodSync uploaded the photos to and note the IP in listening info you see at the top.

On your Mac, open an Internet browser and type this into the address bar: ftp://snitch:your super user password@the IP address you saw in the listening info:26000

Example: ftp://snitch:123@192.168.1.110:26000

This should show you the contents of the collection. ...are the photos there?

Is this consistent? Is it all the photos transferred this way that never show up, or just some of them, sometimes?

I think I got it working pretty good now. I had to uncheck an option to "Safe Copy Using Temporary Files". It seems like that did the trick. It's pretty robust and has a lot of options. it places a folder _gs_Data_ on the iPad but that doesn't seem to bother shutter snitch. There is an option to remove the folder if there is an issue. Thanks!!!
