Shuttersnitch Export via FTP Resize

Postby gerrardpix » Sun Aug 21, 2011 12:27 pm

Hello,

I'd appreciate any help,

Im trying to export files from a Canon 1d Mark III, Shuttersnitch is receiving them fine but when trying to export via ftp and selecting the Pre-Process Max size to choose 2800px and setting the app to process that action it stops responding. This also happens if I ask Shuttersnitch to transmit the jpeg at orginal file size.

No other apps running at the time, tried reboot, reinstall, various wifi networks.

Thanks

Strange. I've tried all the ways this can be done now, and I can't replicate the problem here.

Just to be sure how it fails for you - what are the exact steps? You've set up a location that has Pre-processing set to resize to 2800 and then you go to the export-screen, pick the gear icon and tap the Action task that resizes and FTPs out?

You say that this also happens if you don't resize - so basically FTP out just doesn't work? Has FTP ever worked?

Also, what device are you using?

Thanks for the quick reply,

Randomly its now working a treat! Im using an Ipad 2. Typical - shuttersnitch is now working great, and FSPro is now crashing when I ask it to process and upload! (not related problem im sure!)

One last question if I may - is there anyway to open a batch into fspro? or any other app?

Thanks & keep up the great work!

Good to hear that at least the ShutterSnitch part works now.. :) Perhaps a funky network connection earlier?

Sadly no, if you're talking about the "Open in..." feature. I can only pass one file over that way. And the filesystem is closed up, so it's not possible to pass on a file with references to a bunch of files on the device. (All file are sandboxed for each app. Secure, but less fun)
Hopefully Apple will add a smart way of sharing more files as iOS develops.
