WFT-E2 II incompatable with IPAD2 (IPAD1OK)?

The Eye-Fi Card's Direct Mode (their version of adhoc) works fine with the iPad 2 and the cards are compatible with the 1D Mark IV (it actually has software in the camera's firmware to work better than normal with them http://support.eye.fi/cameras/canon/eos-1d_mark_iv). You won't need the Pro Card unless you plan on sending the RAW files, and that will take a little while due to their size, so you can even save money by getting one of the cheaper Eye-Fi Cards. You can check out http://www.eye.fi/products/compare-cards to see what features each one of their cards has so you know what you are paying for.

I would like to report SUCCESS with the Eye-Fi Pro X2 8GB with IPAD2, 1Dmark4, 1DMark3. Only jpeg so far, will be testing RAW and operational range in the AM. Thanks for all of the support.

I have purchased a CDM530AM battery operated wirelesss router to use with the WFT-E2 and the MarkIV, along with my IPAD2. I am struggling with the best way to set up the whole configuration, not being a network guy. Is there anywhere that this configuration is referenced or supported that I can read or be referred to? Is there a live support (paid for is OK) option that you can reference for me? Thanks for your help.

Hi Bill, I don't have a CDM530AM, but I've downloaded the guide and manual for it, and will write a guide for you.

I'll mail you so we can iron out eventual quirks in my guide, and then post it here on the site for everyone else.

Chaps, Newbie here but comms (IT) literate..

I have the Ipad 2 working with my new WFT-E4 II B no problems at all.

Just had to set the ad-hoc network up manually, let me know if you need help

First let's compare versions. What's your:

iOS version on your iPad (Settings -> General -> About)?
Firmware version on your camera, it's a 5D Mark II, right? (Settings 3 -> Firmware Ver.)
Firmware version on your WFT? (Settings 3 -> WFT settings ->WFT firmware)

Dont use the wizard, set thye WFT II manually for Wifi, Fixed IP address/Mask, Most inportantly AdHoc network and FTP server settings etc.

iOS version on your iPad (Settings -> General -> About)? 5.0.1 (9A405)
Firmware version on your camera, it's a 5D Mark II, right? (Settings 3 -> Firmware Ver.) 2.1.1
Firmware version on your WFT? (Settings 3 -> WFT settings ->WFT firmware) 1.0.3
