Adding geolocation and re-compression.

Postby isaac » Sun May 13, 2012 12:17 pm

Just bought the application along with the eye fi card recently. So far I've been enjoying the app! But there are few issues that I hope someone could help clear up for me.

1) When adding geolocation on shuttersnitch, photos are being re-compressed. Is there a way that I could preserve the quality of the photos while adding the geotags?

2) Is there a function where I could configure to automatically add geotags to all photo received in shuttersnitch app?

Thanks in advance!

regards,

Hi Isaac,

Sorry, but no, there is no way to avoid having the photos re-compressed when ShutterSnitch changes the metadata.

You can have your photos automatically geotagged when they arrive by setting up an action to do so. See this example of how to do it - only instead of picking "Export to Location", as shown in the video, pick "Update metadata" and tap Geolocation to have it added.
Support the development of ShutterSnitch: Rate/review it in iTunes, click the 'Like' button at the bottom of the ShutterSnitch website, Tweet about it, make Youtube videos, blog about it.. Get the word out :)
