Re: Eye-Fi Migration september 2016

I note on another post that you like the Transcend cards, though you imply that is more from a developer point of view than as a user. I'm using a Canon 5Diii. My thoughts are that I'm better off with EyeFi, as I can easily switch it on and off through the camera software. Is that right?

Re: Eye-Fi Migration september 2016

I think I understand what you are saying. If Direct Mode is set up the EyeFi X2 will set up a network and, as long as you know the password, your device can connect. If you have already set it up, you can also have the card connect to your home network for transfers. The problem comes if you need to...

Re: Apple Photos App and Shuttersnitch

Cheers for the reply. That sounds like a good plan so I'll try it. I've already practiced and the photos are arriving in Photos on my Mac as CR2 RAW files, which is perfect. This optimises the selection process.

Apple Photos App and Shuttersnitch

I've just "upgraded" from Aperture to Photos. After a lot of time and effort uploading photos and setting up albums etc I have finally got around to seeing how Shuttersnitch integrates and can become part of my new workflow. I'm hoping to transfer my photos, from my Eye-Fi card (X2 Pro), t...

Re: Not all photos uploading via Transmit

I'm not sure it is reproducible. I have just tried the same batch of photos again and less of them are working than before (though Finder seems to have been able to make icons for more of them than before, but hey won't all preview). I don't seem to be able to attach the jpegs (they are around 5Mb e...

Not all photos uploading via Transmit

Hi, I'm looking for some help please. I am trying to use ShutterSnitch (with photos uploaded from an EyeFi card) to preview and delete my lesser quality photos, whilst on the road. In the past I have then uploaded the keepers to Aperture on the Mac using Transmit. I have been finding recently that o...

No internet connection tagging

A quick question, if I may? Do you need an active internet connection to make this work? The reason I ask is that I am going to Thailand and would like to geotag my photos, but not to pay the hefty mobile data roaming charges. If I leave 'Airplane Mode' on I should still be able to use the GPS. Will...
