Re: How to set up for on-location Eye-fi/SS/FTP connection?

Using Direct Mode you can only have the card and iPad connected together, no other devices or outside access, so that is not what you want. With what you currently have you can add the network that your phone creates in hotspot mode to the Pro Cards and iPad and use that network to transfer, then yo...

What about if you turn on the Personal Hotspot in iOS with the camera connected? Seems like that might trigger the connection and an IP.

Re: Tp- Link router

Have you tried restarting the routers and checking that DHCP is still enabled in the router's settings?

Re: Fotobooth with Canon EOS 60D

P.S. Never used the Toshiba so I can't comment on its speed.

Re: Fotobooth with Canon EOS 60D

The camera manufactures' apps include those functions when the camera supports them. SS is for reviewing and culling photos. The Brew has gone out of his way to make the app as small of a foot print as possible so it doesn't hog memory and as many devices as possible can use it so he hasn't included...

Re: Setting up your connection

In the card log you posted before it was creating a network but it didn't have a name which isn't much better than not creating one since you won't be able to join it. I was hoping the format would help. If that hasn't changed then the card might be fried, hopefully Eye-Fi Customer Care will take ca...

Re: Setting up your connection

Have you taken new photos since formatting? The card will only create the network when it has photos to transfer. Go ahead and takes some photos and if the network still doesn't show up get a new card log and post it here and I'll take a look to see if I see anything.

Re: mobiPRO card reader

Try a different reader or different USB ports. The Eye-Fi Cards have a lot more in them than a standard SD card (radio to transmit, etc) but they do only use the amount of power specified in the SD card specs, all be it the top end of that spec. However some card readers won't supply that much power...

Re: Nikon D300 and Eye-Fi Pro X2

It's not so much that the meter needs to be on that the camera needs to be supplying power to the card. Review mode will also do that.

Re: Nikon D300 and Eye-Fi Pro X2

Technically the D300 is incompatible with the Eye-Fi Cards because it's a CF camera, however I've used many of those adapters myself. Be aware though that there is a chance that the camera will at some point corrupt the card. Do not format it in the CF adapter, stick it in an SD camera like the D700...
