Forced to a new Apple-account

Postby msatter » Sat Nov 30, 2024 1:14 pm

I have a pre-subsciption version of ShutterSnitch and my current Apple-account is not active anymore. Tried it though the helppages and calling support and it can't be activated any more. I am still locally logged in on my iPad so I can still use ShutterSnitch. However using any services (store, iCloud) from Apple is not possible anymore.

I want to inform if is possible for to transfer my pre-subscription version from my inactive account to a new Apple-account? This so that, I still can use ShutterSnitch and also start using the Apple services again.

To setup a new account I have to log out locally so then there is no way back for me.

I’m afraid that’s out of my control. Apple handles all the account / monetary stuff, so they are the ones you need to talk to.

The way I determine if you bought the app before it went subscription based is by checking the receipt for the account. So I guess you need to hear them if you can transfer your receipts from your old account to the new one.

Thanks and I will have look if have some papers or e-mails from buying ShutterSnitch in 2011.

This was my first posting in the forum about a red pixels being displayed: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=425

Apple support even can't tell me why my account was deactivated. That information is deemed to be private, to whom, and they also even can't ask the system that controls deactivating accounts.

Update: checked my e-mail system and found the receipt for ShuterSnitch dated 4 March 2011.
