Does anyone currently use one of these? I am wondering what kind of speed you are getting.

I'm on the same search. And have tried this one:
http://skitch.com/eirikso/d8yrq/cam

Did NOT work.

It works fine if I put the Eye-Fi card in it and insert it in a CF reader in my computer. It works fine if I put a standard SDHC card in it ant insert it in my 5D Mark II. But the combination CF Adapter + 5D Mark II + Eye-Fi does NOT work. The 5D says the card is not formatted and won't format it.

So if anyone find an adapter that works let me know as well... :-)

I can add that this one gives me the same problem in my 5D Mark II:

BUT note that you need an old classic Eye-Fi card! (Non-X2)

I got one of these http://tinyurl.com/3yr9auz for my Nikon D3 and it works fine. As has been said the main issue with Canons appears to be their incompatibility with the type 2 cards.

See this link re Eye-Fi's compatibility with Canon, specifically in my case, 1dsm2. Says X2 SDHC works with Canon firmware 1.1.6 which I am running and works on 1dsm2.

So, perhaps not Canon issue re CF adapter and 5D. Likely Eye Fi or adapter incompatibilities.

TheBrew,

Care to comment on whether an Eye-Fi X2 Pro CF card is physically possible to manufacture? Why it hasn't shown up yet?

I'm certain it would be possible. But as far as I know it wouldn't pay. Too little demand versus the cost of development.

I just got the Eye-Fi PRO X2 card and called their technical support. They specifically told me NOT to use a Compact Flash adapter for the SDHC cards, it will FRY your card! Don't do it period!
