Eye-Fi Pro x2

Postby antonioortiz » Tue Aug 29, 2017 8:24 pm

I currently have the Eye-fi App installed in ios 10.3, I would like to know if the ShutterSnitch App recognizes the card, the new iOS 11 do not support the Eye-Fi app.

Yes, it'll work with ShutterSnitch on iOS 11. :)

It's a little finicky to get it set up now that they've shut down the old API. More details here.

I’ve just purchased ShutterSnitch in order to get my Eye-Fi Pro X2 card to work again in IOS11. I have been following the procedure in "Restoring cards after September 15, 2016", but after copying/pasting the script into the Terminal, nothing happened - can you please assist?

Sure. You say 'Terminal' so I assume you're on a Mac?

If you open the Finder, press Cmd+Shift+G then put in '~/Library/Application Support' and click Go, do you see an 'Eye-Fi', an 'Eyefi', or a 'Keenai' folder? And which ones have files inside of them?

Alright, could you Cmd-click

0.db
0.db-shm
0.db-wal
offline.db
offline.db-shm
offline.db-wal

(selecting them)

and then right-click/ctrl-click and select "Compress 6 items". Then attach the zip file in a post here?

Thanks.

Neither of the files contain any card information. So it looks like the Eye-fi X2 Utility hasn't added them yet. Have you paired your card with it?

I've run the utility with the card connected to my Mac, and came to the point where the app showed the password follow by a green "light", but I could not go any further then that.

Now that I think about it - the utility probably can't get the key because Eye-Fi closed down their service. And in that case you're out of luck. Unless you have an old backup of your computer where you had the Eye-Fi Center installed and working with the card.

You say it showed a "password" - how long is that password?

Do you have the card working (transferring files) with any other device / computer?
