Captioning

Postby stefdnk » Fri Jun 17, 2011 7:03 pm

Just tried out transmitting to My agency today via shuttersnitch and the iPhone. Transmission went ok, but no captipns ón the files. I have set and written a caption in actions (description) And it shows the caption when I browse in snitch.
Have I missed something ?
Btw geotagging is tagged too, but does not follow file.

The data is most likely there, they're probably just looking in the wrong place.

The info is not stored in the IPTC metadata. But in the "description" field of the TIFF metadata.

2.1.4 is about to be submitted to the App Store - and this version does saves to the IPTC fields, which is probably what you need. Depending on how fast they approve it, it could take a week or two to get out.

Regarding the GPS info, it can only be saved in one place, so I don't know what to say about that. But note that the Eye-Fi feature of GPS tagging is not used. It's the iPad/iPhone that has to be set up to tag with location info.
Support the development of ShutterSnitch: Rate/review it in iTunes, Tweet about it, make Youtube videos, blog about it.. Get the word out.
