Hide Location Map

I really have tried to find out how to turn this feature off as it's of no interest to me, but I've tried everything without success and would prefer to have more images in the filmstrip (as it was previously), how can this be removed/disabled turned off?

If you tap and drag the dragger, you can change the size of the filmstrip and if you drag all the way to the right, you'll hide the map.

Thank you so much, I really thought I'd tried that - I hadn't seen the feature before, so I presumed it was a new option.
