I absolutely love using shutter snitch, and rely on it to give my clients & art directors instant proofing of shots on location. Yesterday it all went to custard :-( no image transfer....timed out in 2 seconds every time!!! The only thing that has changed is the App Store version upgrade.... Is there anyone who has experienced the same problem and when can it be fixed. WiFi is working and visible, image transfer works using the "sucky" Transcend app. So it appears to be a software app problem within Shutter Snitch..... HELP

Hm. I have no problems transferring here.

Maybe it's a bad file on the card - could you try going into the ShutterSnitch settings, scroll all the way to the bottom and turn on the "Traffic Inspector" toggle. Then enter a collection and try transferring a photo. Then maybe the log window will show you some info about what's going wrong.

If it's caused by a file on the card the solution could be to format it. But before you do that, please copy the entire contents from the root of the card into a folder on your computer, so we can dig deeper if it turns out to be the solution.

If formatting doesn't fix it, could you attach an example photo that I can test with? (Important that it's the original file, directly copied from the card, not mailed from a device.)

Great. :)

Did you make a backup of the card contents before you formatted it?

Hello!

I recognized the same problem but observed some interesting behavior:

The SD-Wifi-Card gets connected and Shuttersnitch looks up the image folder respectively the image files. It starts downloading the files regardless of there existents in the collection. This procedure is repeated every time a new picture is created on the SD-Card. This makes the Software slow and unusable even if the time out problem is solved.

My camera: Leica M (240) Transcend 32 GB Firmware V 1.9

Does any of the files ever arrive in the collection?

Could you please attach a photo from your camera in a post here?
The reason ShutterSnitch thinks it's "incomplete" is because it checks if it's a valid JPEG - and it seems to fail for yours. It may just be because the format of the file is a little different from the norm.

Hello!

I am new to this forum.

It seems that I have the same problem. When trying to import photos from my Leica M240 and a Transcend Wifi 32GB it always says "Timeout".
Firmware on Transcend 1.9

Could you please help? I have been using Eye-Fi for the last 3 years without any problems.

Thanks,
Thai

Are you sure the card is compatible with your camera?

It's not on their list, but I wonder, since the only place they list Leica cameras is in the incompatibility section.

Update: OK, someone has it working.

If you go into the ShutterSnitch settings and scroll all the way to the bottom, you'll see a "Traffic Inspector" option. Turn that on, enter a collection, and see if the log gives a clue. Feel free to paste it here.

Have you tried formatting the card and see if that makes a difference?

Traffic Inspector recognizes my card. However, there is an error message "transfer failed".
I tried to import Raw (DNG) and surprisingly that worked. No Jpegs. Formatting card within the camera does not help either.

Another funny thing, I went to a local camera store today and plugged my card into a Canon D7000. I was able to connect to my ipad Air and transfer of images from D7000 was fine. But what happened is that my images I took with the Leica M240 that were still on the same card, suddently got transferred to Shuttersnitch.
Any explanation?

It sounds like your camera turns off the power to the card too soon. Is there a sleep setting in the camera that you can turn up / off?
