My setup (iPad3, Transcend SD card) doesn't work anymore

Postby photopoeth » Wed Feb 11, 2015 11:52 am

I hope someone has an advice. My setup used to work without any problems, now it doesn't work anymore. :( 15 mins. ago I upgraded to the newest version and it worked for 5 images. After that it stopped sending images again. Here's what the Traffic Inspector says (sorry, it' in German):

Why is there a complain about "There seems to be no Internet connection"? There's a direct connection between my SD card (network WIFISD) and my iPad.
I don't understand the problem here. Can anybody help please?

It looks like the card doesn't respond correctly when ShutterSnitch asks it for the initial connection information.

When it fails, try going to this post in Safari on your iPad and tap this link:

http://192.168.11.254/cgi-bin/tscmd?CMD ... ELESS_INFO

What information do you see on the screen? If you see any, please copy and paste it in a post here.

I will translate the message: "Safari cannot open the page <here the url you sent me> because your iPad is not connected to the Internet"

So maybe there is one thing that might have changed since it worked the last time. I am using VPN Unlimited on my iPad, but I switched it off in the settings. I am not sure since when I use the VPN an if Shuttersnitch worked with that configuration. Do you know of any problems using a VPN profile?

Sorry, I have no experience with that.

It sounds like it isn't completely disabled when you turn it off. Removing the profile completely would probably fix it.

If there's an option for VPN Unlimited to exclude the internal 192.168.* subnet, perhaps that could be a solution.

Now it works. That's really a pity. So I have to delete the profile everytime I want to use Shuttersnitch. Maybe there will be a better solution in the future.

Let's hope so.

Since it's not ShutterSnitch related, I suggest you contact the VPN guys and let them know that using it breaks local network traffic when it's disabled.
