Hello

I used the traffic inspector to check what was happening and it all looked ok. I did another test today and it’s all working perfectly.

Thanks for your help

Hello

Sorry to bother again but it seems my problem has returned, not sure what's wrong here. Below is an extract from the traffic inspector. The code is saying that the comparison is against the Altitude field but further down where the comparison is made it ignores the field and compared blank to blank giving true.

Action = {
FileID = e40227d2853438c;
Type = 4;
compareTo = "";
comparison = is;
ifCondition = Altitude;
taskID = "B27A9979-07F3-431503B16B5";
};
Filename = "/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/3192/Documents/Shoots/F0AD7F-4E2B-D7187AC77-28D62B/20190575.CR3";
}
19:50:28.817 Condition Action: Is '' equal to '' -> Yes
19:50:28.823 Action updateMetaData: {

Hope this helps to debug this problem.
Thanks

The "ifCondition = Altitude" is just a description of what field the action is about to work with. The comparison is the value it retrieved from the file vs. what the action is set up to compare with.

I think I see the problem though: That's a CR3 raw file. ShutterSnitch only sees what iOS can read, and raw files are particularly tricky. I bet some formats don't even contain geo-location.

I don't have a camera that shoots CR3s, so I can't test - could you post one here that is supposed to contain a geo-location?

Just in case this is a deal breaker for you: if you ask ShutterSnitch to geo-tag a raw file, it'll save it alongside the CR3 as an XMP file. It doesn't modify raw files.

If you want to only tag incoming JPEGs, you could make a new Condition action that checks if Filename contains JPG, if so: perform your Altitude-check task.
