Editing/viewing full EXIF/IPTC details
Yup.

Search
Once you can add comments to images, you need search. No way around it. And I have some nice ideas, but it'll take time.

Export contactsheet
Would be nice to be able to mail a JPEG with thumbnails and filenames of selected images.

Bag-/diskmode
This would turn the screen black, only showing a "slide-to-unlock" slider. Put the device in you bag and snap pictures.

1:1 pictures in the viewer
What you are currently seeing in the viewer may not be the 1:1 images. Why not? Because the iProducts have very little memory available. To avoid crashing the app, I have to resize the images if they get too big.
1:1 CAN be done. It's just about being creative and having a lot of time :). Example: the Maps app.

Collection documents/notes
Add comments to the entire collection or have model release sheets ready to fill out by the model(s) - add a picture to the release sheet?

Image editing
Yeah. Don't hold your breath.. I played a little around with this, and yes it would be nice, but oh the bloat. And the available memory.. Well, let's see.. you never know.

A wish that someone out there may be able to help me with
When I'm not at work - I'm programming on ShutterSnitch and answering support questions. If any you great artists out there like the program, and like doing YouTube videos or alike it would be so cool to have a little commercial on the net :) ..I just don't have the time right now.. (and it would be even better to have someone not affiliated with 2ndNature to pimp my app)

Also - if you're from a non-english speaking country and have nothing better to do: why not help me with a translation for your country. My app is 100% ready for localization, so please contact me if you want to help. But be aware: it is a bit of work. ..translations every time I release a new version.

I really appreciate this product and use it quite a bit. I'm willing to help out on the commercial. I've done some production work before so this will be fun. Anyone else volunteer?

Cool :) Tell me if you need any graphics that aren't available in a nice enough resolution. If you plan on showing off features, maybe you should wait for the next version that is a little more mature? Here's hoping it's approved today..

Yes, I've been waiting eagerly for the next version to come out.

I have a few ideas on the ad. Can you help me with some details so I can hone the concept

Who is your target user (will most likely purcahse and use your app)? Please write as many details as possible.
Why would they want to buy shutter snitch and how would they use it?
What is the one thing you want to say?
What other things?

Who is your secondary market?

Do you have a favorite ad which you'd like to have the same style?

Ok, on another note. I brought my GF1 with eye-fi, craddle point phs 300 and my shutter snitched iPad to a birthday party and it was great. People left me alone to shoot and got to see the photos on a big screen, and I didn't need to email them the photos cause they did it themselves. Really great for my photo workflow.

(photos here if you wanna check it out: http://s921.photobucket.com/albums/ad59 ... ay%202010/)

We should have a user experience thread... or is there one?

Iyo, thanks for the offer. I'll collaborate with you more when the next version is out.

Always great to hear that the app has been put to some good use :)

My main market would be the creative photographer. I'm hoping that this app could be a valuable tool for producing even better photos or contribute to a better/easier workflow. Of course I'd also love it if it could make photosessions a little more fun for everybody involved.

The project started out as an FTP solution only, but the hoops one had to jump through to get Eye-Fi transfers to work, just made me wonder if there wasn't an easier way. And now it seems that most of the interest is coming from Eye-Fi users - which aren't all professional photographers. Interesting development - especially because I'd love to see more people get creative with their cameras.

So really, my target is everybody. And the goal (or hope) is to let/make people be more creative! And it doesn't hurt to have a little fun doing it :)

The uses:

* Preview images on the larger 10" display.
* An art director would be able to follow the photosession and tag images of interest.
* Get warnings if certain values such as shutter speed, ISO, aperture and more aren't acceptable.
* Your own example - bring it to a birthday party and people can mail the images to themself.
* Upload images directly to your website, the company FTP server or any other iProduct with ShutterSnitch installed.
* I'm sure there's more.. Creative people tend to find new uses all the time :)

Regarding ads I like.. I'll get back to you on that - just have to find it. Don't know how good the style would be with my app, but it's the only ad that comes to mind (beautifully shot).
UPDATE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_LLj4_3ZRA
Incredibly boring really - but nice shots. This style would probably make people fall asleep.. I'm not an ad guy ;)

Experience Thread is open
Great idea ;)

I volunteer for a Spanish translation. (Native speaker)

I've done that before and the results are heavily dependent on how the resource file containing the localized strings is described. If I only have the original strings, and no context information then I only can provide literal translations (which is not always appropriate) but with the context (for the strings that are easily found in the interface I can derive the context), the messages can be translated better.

If interested please Email me at: <tricky e-mail removed ..in case of clever spambots>
