Pictures are not displayed ...

Postby andy0711 » Tue Oct 15, 2019 11:32 am

Hello, on my iPad 2017 after the message "memory full" only the preview image of the collections are displayed.
Also I had some black pictures ...

Only one picture of about 1300 pictures is displayed.

With iTunes, I can download all the pictures, but they are not always displayed in ShutterSnitch.

iPad 2017
iOS 13.1.2

Free memory: 3.9 GB

How much free disk space do you have on the iPad?

It sounds like you’ve run out space and iOS hasn’t been able to create the cache files and just returned black ones (yes, it does that..! No errors, just returns a black image. :/ )

Now that you have a little more free space, go into the in-app ShutterSnitch settings, tap the Advanced tab at the top and tap ‘Rebuild Cache’ to have it regenerate them as needed.

sorry .. not working .... only one photo display in each folder

3.720 Pictures in 4 folders
free space 4,95 GB

how long does it take to rebuild the cache?
Do I have to leave the app open?
I do not see a progress bar, just a green circle for 1 second.

Greetings from Andalusia / Spain

There is no real “progress”. It’ll just delete all the cache files and whenever the browser needs to display a photo and the cache file doesn’t exist, it’ll regenerate it.

Do you see the thumbnails in the filmstrip, but just not the full size one?

Are they JPEG files?

Could you attach a screenshot of how the browser looks?

The memory message is interesting - since there are no mention of ‘memory’ anywhere in ShutterSnitch. So that must be an iOS system message. Do you see that often? Do you have a screenshot of it?

(I know, that’s a lot of questions - but please help me by answering them all. :)

Interesting. I wonder if the database has been corrupted when you ran out space..

Does each of the 4 collections just show one photo like in the last screenshot you attached?

As you mentioned in your initial post, you can download all the photos using iTunes.

Could you do me a favor and also download the 3 fileinfo.sqlite* files, zip them up and attach the zip-file in a post here?

I'm looking into a) a way this can't happen in the future and b) a way for you to get back on track.. Hang in there..
