Yes... still have the Time Zone issue, the file was sent by CuteFTP and ShutterSnitch as HEIC and JPG with the same result.

Here all information I can see in the different options https://we.tl/t-rtpB2NK598

Alright, that's too bad then. When I look at the meta of the file, the offset is there..

Hello, so far, after a few test with photos taken with iPhone (HEIC) or Nikon Z9 (HIF or JPG) sent as JPG or HEIC, the Time Zone issue was solved with the 7.0.4 version!

Thanks.

Hello de TheBrew, the photos of DJI Drone cant display the correct time zone.

But I cant determine if the problem is the missing information on the original file.

Can I send you a photo taken with a DJI Mini 3 Pro to analyze the information?

Thanks

Hello, I share with you two wetransfers with photos taken today with DJI Mavic Mini 3 Pro + DJI RC (remote with screen) both are recently updated with the last firmwares and remote have the GMT fixed to -0300

This files are untouched from de micro SD card to the notebook. *link removed*

This files are from the drone to the iPhone and edited/sent with ShutterSnitch. *link removed*

The photos untouched or cropped arrives with correct local time but GMT+0000 instead GMT-03000

Captioned photos arrives with GMT+0000 and 3 hour less than local time.

Thank

Juan Mabromata

It looks like they forget to set the timezone offset in the XMP metadata:

(correct?)

Just for fun, I changed it in the attached file - does that parse correctly in your upload-verification-thingie?

Hello, yes, should be

xmp:ModifyDate="2024-05-13T13:58:44-03:00"
xmp:CreateDate="2024-05-13T13:58:44-03:00"

The file you changed is displayed with the correct time zone!

What can I do? Claim to DJI?

Thanks

It would probably be good to let them know that there's an issue there, yes, so they can fix it for all their customers.

As I was trying to figure out a workaround for you in ShutterSnitch I discovered a bug with negative time zones (negative as in "less than zero" :). I'd only been testing with positive numbers.. oops. That means your -03:00 timezone is affected. Argh. Good thing we're getting it fixed.

When the next update hits the App Store, you can work around the DJI issue by setting up an Action in ShutterSnitch to adjust the time offset in the incoming file:

* Add a new Action Task from the gear-button in the toolbar. Call it "Fix time offset", tap the '+' button and pick 'Change time zone'.
* Select Time Zone -3. Since the timestamp itself is correct, turn OFF the 'Adjust capture time' switch.
* Tap back to the Action Tasks overview and add a new Action Task. Call it 'DJI fix', tap the '+' button and pick 'Condition'.
* Set up the condition to: if 'Camera make' 'contains' 'DJI' then perform task 'Fix time offset'.
* Go back to the Action Tasks overview, tap 'Done' and then drag the slider on the top right down to the new 'DJI fix' task.

If you already have an active Action task you use, you can just add the above condition to the end of its actions.

I'll test and double-test my edits and then I'll put up the update for Apple to review. Hopefully they'll approve it soon!

Just to be sure I've done my work right, could you check if the attached photo checks out with your upload-verification-thingie?
