When 100% Means 130% -Heic again-

Hi TheBrew

The HEIC generated when the compression slider is at 100% is unreadable for libraries and photo editing applications.
This tells me that I should have told you a loooong time ago that there is indeed an issue regarding this. Essentially, I think the scale used for JPEG and HEIC is not the same: 100% on JPEG scale = 130% on HEIC scale. When you convert a file in heic and if the compression cursor is on 100% It "overfills" the file, with something, which is unnecessary and not readable. I would say 80% on the jpeg scale jpeg must be 100% Heic
This also leads me to think that since the use of JPEG and HEIC is not the same, it would be ideal to have two sliders: one for the JPEG scale and one (revised & fixed) for the HEIC.
Thank you.

Hello, the same happened to me with a HEIF photo taken with iPhone, after cutting the HEIF and send it with no compression 100% the final file at the FTP server cant opened with the last Photoshop version.

I send the same file with different name but using 90% compression and the file became readable.

Edit: I forgot to tell if you sending the HEIC of the iPhone untouched at with compression at 100, the file can be used without issue

Maybe its a good idea to have different setting one compression for JPG and other for HEIF.

Thanks.

Let me know if HEICs at 100 quality still aren't readable using the latest update (7.0.3).
