Canon 1DX Mk II w/ethernet cable and adapter to iPhone

I just signed up for Shutter snitch and I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out how I can connect my Canon 1DX Mk II via ethernet cable and ethernet to lightning adapter to my iPhone12.

Here's what I have tried.

iPhone 12 setup:
Settings > Ethernet > USB 10/100 LAN
Configure IP: Manual
IP Address: 192.168.1.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Configure DNS: Automatic
Configure Proxy: Off
FYI: I turned off the wifi on my iPhone as Shuttersnitch kept picking up that address

Hmm. All of that looks fine to me.

First, just be be sure (it's been an issue for a few users before) double check the FTP port you've set in the camera setup is 26000 - with 3 zeros. 2600 can look like 26000 in the heat of the moment. :)

Try going into the ShutterSnitch settings, scroll all the way to the bottom and turn on 'Traffic Inspector'. Then try connecting again - do you see anything interesting being logged?

Another thought: Just in case your home wi-fi is also using the 192.168.1.x range - I'd change the manual ethernet addresses to 192.168.2.2 for the iPhone (and FTP server address) and 192.168.2.1 for the camera. As you can see I also flipped the suffix for the phone and camera so the camera is the .1 - just in case it likes to be the "master" of the network.

Thanks for your reply. I have changed the settings to how you stated above and I still can't seem to connect. I ran the 'Traffick Inspector' but I'm not sure what it's telling me. I'll post it below incase someone knows how to decipher it.

All those "M-SEARCH" lines are related to the PTP/IP support being on. You can turn it off if you're just going to use FTP. (ShutterSnitch settings -> 'PTP/IP (NIKON WU / EOS UTILITY)' section) It doesn't really matter if it's enabled or not - but it is using CPU, so you'll get better performance/less battery usage if it's off.

If you tried connecting with the camera while this log was created, the camera doesn't even reach ShutterSnitch.

That narrows things down to the networking itself. I was thinking that maybe disabling the Gateway in the camera settings could mess things up, so try:

Manual config on iPhone:
IP Address 192.168.2.2

IP Address 192.168.2.1
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0

If that doesn't help, the connection wizard sometimes ignores the port and just goes with the standard port 21 instead of 26000. So try changing to 21 in both the camera setup and in the ShutterSnitch settings (second setting at the top) and see if that helps.

Keep the Traffic Inspector running and feel free to post a new log if it still doesn't work, but something interesting pops up.

Here's what I have done. I turned off the PTP/IP in the shuttersnitch settings. I then dialed in the settings as mentioned above. After I entered those settings the camera's last screen display read Busy.....please wait. I waited at least 2 minutes and nothing changed. Here is the traffic inspector from that test.

On that initial test I was in port 26000. I have now done a test was set to 00021 on shuttersnitch as that is how it it read on the camera. Here is that traffic inspector report.
