When I send a vertical image the top and bottom of the image get cropped. The small thumbnail shows the whole image though. I'm using a Lumix LX3 with today's version. Older version had same issue so not a new bug.

If you pinch the picture, does the missing parts show? (Is the image just zoomed a liiitle too much)

If you tap the picture once, to show the complete picture without navigationbars, do you see the whole picture?

Pinching and double tapping don't fix it. Even while zoomed in only part of the image is available. I could email you an image.

I just noticed the same issue (and posted about it in the WARNING thread.)

I'm using a Lumix G1. Do you suppose this could be Panasonic-specific (e.g. ShutterSnitch not reading the orientation flag correctly?) Guess I need to go fire up the Nikon and shoot some verticals and see what happens...

UPDATE: Shots with Nikon sent by WT-4 do the same thing -- verticals are cropped to horizontal format. So I guess it's not Panasonic-specific...

FURTHER UPDATE: Now that I finally figured out that the ".cache" files are the ShutterSnitch previews and the ".jpg" files are the originals, I can see that the .jpg files are NOT cropped -- it's only the ShutterSnitch previews that are being cropped.

There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off the auto-orientation flag on the Lumix. Anyone else able to try that experiment?

Just tried with my Canon 1d mk iii and see same problem when I have the auto rotate option on and shoot a vertical.

I hope we're not going to get TheBrew too discouraged with all these! But...

When I start a session using an Eye-Fi card, I often get a warning dialog saying "An Eye-Fi card is trying to connect but it doesn't seem to like your authentication key."

The images transmit anyway, even while the dialog box is still on the screen, or I can click the "Okay" button and everything proceeds normally. So I assume it's just a spurious warning... still, thought you might like to know about it.

Yes, I see the same auth warning but the image transfers ok. Wonder if the first attempt fails then a retry works. It does seem to take a bit of time to do the first transfer so maybe a bug fix here that also improves response time.

Also - yes.. So irritating with that authentication alert.. A timeout problem I guess. Version 1.1.3 has been in review since yesterday and will fix this issue. Let's hope it's approved quickly.

I've decided to put feature additions on hold for a little while, and concentrate on tracking down every bug I can find / hear about. There seems to be a bug either with the way I use the FTP server component or with the FTP server itself. A socket problem that occurs randomly.. Very very strange bug.
