Metadata editor

Postby sonander » Thu Aug 22, 2019 3:59 pm

Hi

It looks like when editing metadata using code replacement a new line cannot start with a code

If you on a new line in the caption field writes a code and press Cmd-R the text shakes, if you instead already have som text on the line and types the code and presses Cmd-R the code is translated.

M1 (Does not look up)
This line M1 (Looks up the text)

Thanks

Hm.. works here, but that’s when testing by tapping the code replace button. I’ll see if it’s related to external keyboards when I get near one. :)

Works for me using an external keyboard too.

The shaking happens if there's no replacement found - can you reproduce it, or could it be you'd mistyped a code?

Hi

Yes I can reproduce it both with external keyboard and not

If I type this it doesn’t work

M1

If I type this the second one works

M1 m1

I have tried with both case sensitive CR enabled and disabled.

Now I know how to work around it, by adding a char first, but it is a bit annoying

I’d love to fix it, it’s just hard when I can’t reproduce it. Can you spot anything I could be doing differently from you in this video? (It doesn’t stand out, but I tap the CR button the moment it changes to ‘Test’.

Does it work for you if you type a space, then back-space to delete it, then type M1 and run CR?

Hm, now I got even more confused. When I saw your video I had to try. It works if the field is empty, if there already is text in the field it does not work. See the video

Thanks!

BTW did you see my feature request about the capture time, do you think it is doable to use the the time I suggested?

Thank you so much for this super app which helps me a lot when shooting sports.
